Designed as a copy of a French fountain exhibited at London's Crystal Palace Exhibition in 1851, the exquisite water works and surrounding grounds were named for Governor of Georgia and U.S. Secretary of State, John Forsythe. The delicately intricate fountain has reigned over the mile long azalea-lined park for over 150 years of graceful weddings, outdoor symphonies, Christmas tree lightings and gloriously lazy Sunday afternoons.
